Central to our entire body is our spine, and within the spine holds a vital part, the spinal cord. When
nerves branch out of the spinal cord, the exit through openings within our spine. If there is a slight
misalignment to the spine, interference or compression can occur on those nerves. Why is this
important? These nerves control every facet of our body and allows for those target areas to
communicate properly with the brain. When interference occurs, our body is not going to operate and
function properly. Symptoms likely will present as pain, numbness, tingling, weakness, spasms, etc.
Other vital dysfunctions can occur as well, such as bowl and bladder, balance, headaches, hormonal, and
other reproductive issues. Just because we are not currently experiencing pain or other symptoms, does
not mean that our body is in proper alignment. When we start to get used to these aches and pains, and
tell ourselves “this is normal”, that is when our body will start to undergo permanent changes. As our
posture and mobility start to decrease, our muscular tension and arthritic changes start to increase. It is
vital to start Chiropractic care as early on as possible in order to prevent or slow down these more
permanent, life long changes.
